Kay and David have been welcoming visitors to the bed and breakfast for over thirty years and have greatly enjoyed the experience making long term friends with guests. Now semi-retired, we still look forward to meeting new customers. Since the 2020 pandemic we have had to quickly alter the accommodation to keep guests isolated and safe. Investing into a deep cleaning machine helped a great deal and by providing a continental style breakfast in the rooms we achieved our aim of Covid-19 safety.

The area is such a lovely place to visit and we encourage guests to explore and eat in the excellent local restaurants and cafes.

The area is world renowned for its history and many archaeological digs and for the wildlife. When asked, we are keen to give you our local knowledge on the area. There are many things to entertain everyone, gliding, wild water swimming, taking part in a triathlon, a chance to drive a high-powered car, walks on the Wolds or Vale of York, cycling, bird watching or a ride in a balloon, whatever takes your fancy!
